Sloan Underwhelmed

An awesome song by one of the great Canadian bands! These guys used to play some really fun club gigs back in the early 90′s in my hometown city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. I’ve seen them live many times and they always put on a good show.

Underwhelmed came out on Sloan’s “Smeared” album when they got picked up by the Sub-Pop Grunge movement wave of artists. They eventually became more “Beatlesque” and all of them are worthy songwriters, and cool guys too!

This tune has some of their best lyrics, including:
“She’s obviously a person with a cause,
I told her that I don’t smoke or drink,
She told me to loosen up on her way to the L.C.”
