Story of a poor, hapless loser (“a guy like me doesn’t get many dates”) that meets a beauty who takes him for a ride. Inspired by the waitress in heels at a local dive.
The Northern Pikes “She Ain’t Pretty” is a great song from their Snow In June album, which spawned a series of radio friendly singles in the early 90′s. They have since reunited a few years ago and are playing a local festival where I live called Riverfest in Nova Scotia.
I’m looking forward to seeing them live again!
